I’ve really enjoyed binging through Criminal Minds. I’m sure it’s not super accurate, but it’s not obnoxious, or maybe I just don’t know enough about profiling. I’m sure real profilers aren’t in the field making arrests nearly as often as the BAU are, but I still really enjoy it. I think it’s cause of the team. I love the team. Hotch is my favorite, but the team as a whole is perfect. In season 6, the episode called Lauren, Garcia leaves this message for Emily just before she ‘dies’. I love it. I love this so much! It reminds me of my Scarecrows. 🙂

I don’t know who said this, but I think it captures the core of warriors. Warriors are fighting for something or someone. They’re standing between. They put themselves in harms way for the sake of their brothers, their families, and their countries. There is a great, heartrending sadness and beauty to this. I also think it’s a mentality that both men and women can have, even if it is expressed differently.

“Battle song of the Scarecrow” by Colin (an unborn with a skill for words). Found in The Sparrow and the Star.

One of the themes in my stories is standing. You will see the youngest and smallest of children standing for what is right, standing against the bullies, and standing for the weak. My Scarecrows embody this idea, a concept given form.
